I began my ceramics experience as a studio potter developing  a range of domestic oxidised stoneware, which I made for many years.

Following my graduation as a mature student from Norwich School of Art and Design, I became interested in sculptural forms, using clay for more figurative and abstract pieces.

More recently I have worked with the Raku process, and enjoy the simplicity of the glazes using  the black of the smoked clay body as integral to the design..

In my recent Raku work I have made flattened forms which allow division into abstract shapes, using simple colours.

I like to develop particular themes in a body of work. Influenced by the Minoan frescoes in Crete, I am exploring some figurative work.

The natural world of landscape and plants strongly influence my work.

I am a member of the Anglian Potters and exhibit with them twice yearly.
I am also a member and exhibit with Norwich Contemporary Art. 
I have also exhibited with the Norwich Festival Open Studios.
