Marian Williams lives in Norwich and uses locally sourced plant matter to create natural dyes. The resulting dyes are used to colour woven silks, which are then made into individual timeless garments, made to measure.

The inspiration for Marian's Designs comes from plants, re-establishing themselves into a man-man environment. This reflects the many layers and textures of our lives.

The techniques used are shibori, silk settings, layering and stitching to create three dimensional effects.

The resulting pieces are subtly coloured and embellished, softly clinging to the body, gently moving, reconciling people with nature.
