I first became involved with woodturning after taking time out for personal reasons back in 1996. Having always had a driving ambition to become a full-time artist discovering the joy of making three dimensional tactile objects today I believe I am fulfilling that ambition through my wood turning. My early background of Art School, ceramics and masonry helps me create texture and colour on turned wood objects.

Woodturning for me is a way of life, creating an eclectic mix of functional re-production and decorative turnings constantly searching for the perfect form on which to create pieces that are visually exciting.

Using texture & colour, I am always looking for and developing new techniques with which to enhance my work. Inspiration comes from many sources.

My knowledge and techniques I willingly share, while teaching, judging and demonstrating around the world.
